PATRICK S. CONROY & FRESH GEAR

Patrick “Pat” S. Conroy began his career in the landscape industry at the age of 16 as an employee of Vidosh Inc., a Michigan based landscape design and construction company. It was there that Pat discovered his enjoyment for the landscape profession. After high school, Pat furthered his passion by attending Michigan State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree. Upon graduation, Pat continued to work at Vidosh Inc. as a landscape architect and project manager. During his 23-year career at Vidosh Inc., Pat was instrumental in the company’s growth as it became the largest landscape construction firm in Michigan during his tenure.  During that time period, Pat’s responsibilities within the company also grew:  from Project Manager to Senior Project Manager and Landscape Architect, to Vice President of Recreational Development and Landscape Architectural Services.  

In 1992, Pat formed Patrick S. Conroy & Associates, Inc. a Landscape and Golf Course Architectural firm.  Pat’s extensive knowledge of landscape, golf and site construction along with his landscape and golf course architectural skills were important factors in the firm’s quick success. The firm continues its success by not only being a leader in the industry, but by recognizing trends and adapting to the needs of the marketplace in Michigan. Currently, Patrick S. Conroy & Associates, Inc. provides a wide range of architectural and construction services including commercial and residential landscape architecture and installation, along with residential and commercial renovations and new construction. Pat’s dedication to quality and service at a competitive price has allowed him to remain successful in Michigan’s challenging business environment. As further testimony to his talents, many of his clients have been with him for over 30 years.

DEAN WILTSIE, THOMAS YORK, ENVIRO-BRITE SOLUTIONS & FRESH GEAR

As a successful businessman, Pat has always looked for opportunities to fuel his “Entrepreneurial Spirit.”  It was this drive that led Pat to recognize a business opportunity with his friend Dean Wiltsie. Dean is the number three licensed microbrewer in the State of Michigan and owns Wiltsie’s Brew Pub in Oscoda, Michigan. While Dean is an accomplished microbrewer and restaurateur, his love of challenges and skill in chemistry prompted him and fellow chemist Thomas York to establish Enviro-Brite Solutions, Inc., a custom chemical formulation company. Over the past 20 plus years, Enviro-Brite Solutions has formulated and created a wide variety of cleaning and degreasing products for the commercial, industrial, and institutional market including Fresh Gear, “The Ultimate Odor Eliminator.”  

Dean and Thomas created Fresh Gear because they understood the fact that most parents and athletes accept equipment odor as part of the sport, not realizing that it’s the potentially harmful bacteria that causes the odor. As former athletes and coaches and strong advocates for “Athletes Health and Wellness,” Dean and Thomas identified the need for an effective but simple to use spray product that would quickly attack the harmful bacteria and foul odors associated with athlete’s equipment.
